Russian photographer Elena Shumilova captures breath taking photographs of her children and their animal friends on the family’s farm. In early 2014, her fairytale photos of her children became a viral sensation, garnering over 60 million views in one year. She has inspired parents and photographers all around the world.
Her photographs will take you into a beautiful world that revolves around her two little sons and their adorable pets — scenes literally out of a storybook. At first glance, you’d think that Elena’s been taking photographs for much, much longer. But, she only got into photography in early 2012, when she got her first camera.
“I largely trust my intuition and inspiration when I compose photos. I get inspired mainly by my desire to express something I feel, though I usually cannot tell exactly what that is” Elena told BoredPanda.
“When shooting I prefer to use natural light – both inside and outside. I love all sorts of light conditions – street lights, candle light, fog, smoke, rain and snow – everything that gives visual and emotional depth to the image,” the photographer said.
She told Boredpanda that she shoots every day, as being a mother she doesn’t want to miss out on her growing children, and then processes the images at night. She said she prefers natural light and loves all sorts of light conditions – street lights, candle light, fog, smoke, rain and snow – everything that gives visual
and emotional depth to the image.
